R-B teaches good sportsmanship and the fundamentals of hitting, bunting, fielding, and stealing, while building a positive self-image in a healthy competitive environment.
Every summer, the Riverside-Bradford Baseball League selects a group of 12 year old ballplayers to represent the league in a tournament at the Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, NY. Located on 105 acres just four miles south of the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Cooperstown Dreams Park features six lit fields, housing in a baseball village, and private clubhouses for the participating teams. Players have the opportunity to compete against teams from all over the country in an area recognized as the birthplace of baseball.
As you might imagine, equipping and sending a team to the tournament is an expensive proposition. The coach of the team, along with a large group of volunteers, work tirelessly to sponsor fundraising events to help defray the cost of participating in the tournament. These fundraisers typically include a Home Run Derby, a golf tournament, tag days, sponsoring refreshment sales, and more.
If you would like to help the team to participate in this fantastic experience, please consider making a contribution. All donations are welcomed and are very much appreciated!
