Riverside-Bradford Baseball League is dedicated to teaching good sportsmanship and the fundamentals of baseball while building a positive self-image for both boys and girls throughout Haverhill.
We have programs for kids aged 5-16 years old.
Instructional Division 4-6 years old
Introduction to baseball for kids aged 4-6 years old. The primary focus is having fun and teaching kids the fundamentals, such as throwing, catching and hitting. Coaches pitch to the kids and a batting tee can be used.
Minor Division 6-7 years old
Minor division will still focus on fundamentals, while also further developing player skills, with coaches pitching from further away and encouraging the fielders to get 'outs' in the field.
Major-Minor 7-8 years old
Hybrid of kid pitch and coach pitch. Kids pitch the first 3 innings and coaches pitch the final 3 innings. The players will start to play a standard baseball game structure, with teams only get 3 outs per inning and balls/strikes being called. Major Minor is for 8 year olds and advanced 7 year olds.
Double A (AA) 9-10 years old
AA features competitive baseball in a standard baseball format. AA players are evaluated and assigned to teams for competitive balance. The AA Division is for 9-10 year olds and advanced 8 year olds.
Major 70 11-12 years old
Major 70 features a jump to a larger field (50'70') and is the most competitive division. Teams are formed by the coach's drafting players for competitive balance.
Senior Ball 13-16 years old
RB Senior is for ages 13-15 years old and competes against teams from local towns. Games are played on regulation-sized baseball fields.
